Usable Art: Trinket Boxes

Round trinket boxes, with fluid art tops. While the same techniques were used to create the design on each box, each composition is unique.

The internal and external sides of the boxes have been stained and varnished using a light oak stain. The inside bottom of the box is lined in felt. Each box has an antique bronze clasp.

These trinket boxes have cork bottoms to protect your furniture from scuffs and scratches.

Usable art, also known as functional art, is a fusion of art and design. An object is modified using various fluid art or other conventional techniques then sealed/protected accordingly so that it can be used in everyday life while also serving as a work of art.
