Usable Art: Trays

Wooden trays with the interior bottom painted using a variety of fluid art techniques. The tray bottom and the painting are sealed using an FDA-compliant resin.

Each tray has been stained and varnished in light oak to protect against moisture. Felt feet have been added to the bottoms to protect your furniture from scuffs and scratches.

Usable art, also known as functional art, is a fusion of art and design. An object is modified using various fluid art or other conventional techniques then sealed/protected accordingly so that it can be used in everyday life while also serving as a work of art.
